About

Hi! I'm Daniel Neph, a small town boy from Cheboygan, Michigan.

Back when I was a kid, it was a common sight to see me in the back yard running around swinging a stick at imaginary ne'er-do-wells or sitting at the kitchen table using scrap paper to bring life to those same ne'er do wells.

Nowadays I have fun in different ways. In summer it's with jet skis, and in the winter it's with snowmobiles. Being from northern Michigan, I've had plenty of opportunities to do both in my time. My dad first got me into snowmobiling when I was a little kid, and we still go on rides together to this day. There's just something about zipping down a freshly groomed trail as the snow is gently falling that I find so appealing.

I've also got a lot of musical and performance experience. I've been on stage performing since kindergarten. Not kidding. My dad got me into this hobby too, since he's been singing in choirs and acting in plays since before I was born. I've been in all sorts of plays, including some high school productions like The Sound of Music where I was Max Detweiler, Seussical the Musical where I was Horton the Elephant, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat where I was Joseph.

Then in college I started to get into chamber music. I have been a member of many a choir at Siena Heights University, including the University Chorale, Chamber Singers, and the SHU-wops. While there, I also joined a barbershop quartet called The Five Cannibals. Now I sing in the chamber choir of the Basilica of St. Adelbert in Grand Rapids. I even cantor there, too.
